This fun picture puzzle has been making the rounds on social media, and it is a fantastic test of your observation skills! At first glance, it just looks like a beautiful arrangement of delicious green avocados.
The image asks a very simple question: “How many avocado do you see?”
What makes this counting challenge so tricky is how the fruit is grouped together. There are nine different sections, but they contain different numbers of avocados in varying sizes. Some of the avocados are hiding right behind the front ones, and there is even a tiny one hiding at the very bottom, making it incredibly easy for your eyes to skip right over them!
To get the right answer, you have to look closely and count each cluster very carefully. If we go row by row, the top row has 6 avocados total (a pair of 2, then 1, then a bunch of 3 on a stem). The middle row has 4 avocados (1, then a pair of 2, then 1). Finally, the bottom row has 4 avocados, thanks to that sneaky little avocado sitting all by itself on the far right side.
When you add all of those rows up, you find the total amount of fruit.
Answer: 14.
