This autumn counting puzzle is harder than it first appears because several pumpkins are partly hidden behind flowers, the wagon, the dog, and the large wheel.
Start at the top and scan slowly from left to right. There are pumpkins around the flower pots, on the hay bales, and beside the chalkboard. Then move down toward the wagon, where a few smaller pumpkins are easy to overlook.
The bottom half contains several more, including large pumpkins in the foreground and partly hidden pumpkins behind the wagon wheel and decorations.
If you count every visible pumpkin, including the ones that are only partly showing, the total is 17 pumpkins.
The trick is not to count only the large orange pumpkins. The white pumpkin, striped pumpkin, small pumpkins, and partially hidden ones all belong in the total.
Answer: 17 pumpkins.
How many did you find before checking the answer?
