What started as a quiet afternoon near a muddy pond quickly turned into a frightening moment for one farm dog.

The loyal dog had wandered toward the edge of the pond, likely following a scent or checking the water like he often did. But hidden in the mud and grass nearby was a large snake.

Within seconds, the snake struck.

It latched onto the dog’s leg, causing the animal to yelp and struggle as it tried to pull away. The commotion caught the attention of the owner, who rushed outside after hearing the noise.

By the time help arrived, the dog had managed to shake the snake loose but was clearly injured and in pain.
