This simple black container with a gray lid was once everywhere — a 35mm film canister. Before smartphones and digital cameras, people used actual film rolls to take photos.
You’d drop the roll into your camera, take 24 or 36 pictures, then bring the canister to a store to get developed. These little cans protected the film and were perfect for storing small items like screws, coins, or even matches.
Many of us remember rushing to the photo lab hoping the pictures turned out good. This little canister is a real piece of nostalgia from the pre-digital era.
