Can You Tell These 9 Big Cats Apart?

Many people struggle to tell different members of the cat family apart. While they all look similar at first glance, each has unique features.

Lion: The only one with a big mane (males).

Tiger: Largest cat with bold vertical stripes.

Jaguar: Stocky build with rosette spots that have dots inside.

Leopard: More slender than jaguar, rosettes without inner dots, excellent climber.

Cheetah: Slim body with solid black spots and distinctive tear marks on the face.

Puma (Cougar): Uniform tan color, no spots, very powerful hind legs.

Lynx: Medium size with tufted ears and short tail.

Ocelot: Small wild cat with beautiful patterned coat, looks like a miniature leopard.

Domestic Cat: The smallest one on the list.
