Shelter Cat Drags Her Blanket to the Door—Then Staff See Who Is Waiting Outside

Every night, a shelter cat named Molly curled up beneath the same purple blanket in the back of her kennel.

One morning, staff members found her dragging the blanket down the hallway. She pulled it slowly toward the main entrance, refusing to let go even when workers tried to return it to her bed.

When they opened the door, they discovered an older woman standing outside in tears.

The woman had cared for Molly for years, but after losing her home, she had been forced to surrender her beloved cat. She had finally found a small apartment that allowed pets and had returned to ask whether Molly was still available.

The moment Molly saw her, she dropped the blanket and rushed forward. She rubbed against the woman’s legs, purring so loudly that everyone nearby could hear.

Shelter staff completed the paperwork that afternoon. Molly left with her favorite blanket—and the person she had been waiting to see again.
