On a cold, rainy afternoon, neighbors noticed a young boy kneeling in the mud beside a soaking wet dog that had wandered into the street. While others passed by, unsure of what to do, the boy didn’t hesitate.
He wrapped his arms around the trembling animal, holding him close as rain fell harder around them. Witnesses later said the dog seemed exhausted and frightened, but he didn’t resist. Instead, he leaned into the boy’s embrace as if he had finally found someone safe.
