Police officers responding to a routine patrol call were surprised when they encountered a dog desperately scratching at the side of a parked vehicle late at night.
At first, officers believed the dog might simply be trying to get into the car. But the animal’s behavior quickly caught their attention. The dog continued pawing at the door, whining, and refusing to leave the vehicle.
Concerned something unusual was happening, one officer approached the car and opened the door to investigate.
