Seven-year-old Mia thought she was being sneaky when she quietly grabbed a handful of colorful candies after finishing her sandwich.

She was sitting at the kitchen table, smiling to herself, when her Siamese cat, Shadow, suddenly leaped onto the table with perfect cat balance.

Instead of swatting the candy away or stealing it, Shadow did something that made Mia laugh so hard she almost fell off her chair.

He started playfully batting at the candies one by one, sending them flying into the air like colorful fireworks!

Mia’s eyes lit up with pure joy as she watched her cat jump and swat at the flying wrappers, trying to catch them mid-air. She began tossing more candies gently so Shadow could keep playing his new game.

Now every afternoon after school, this has become their special tradition. Mia saves a few pieces of candy, and Shadow puts on his best “candy catcher” performance — leaping, spinning, and batting with perfect timing while Mia giggles uncontrollably.

Her mom says the kitchen has never been cleaner… or louder with laughter.

Shadow may be a cat, but he’s turned into the best playmate Mia could ever ask for.
