The Real Reason Your Cat Seems to Ignore You Isn’t What You Think

Many cat owners feel hurt when their cat appears to ignore them. In reality, this behaviour is often a sign of trust and security. Cats that feel safe in their environment don’t feel the need to constantly monitor every movement.

They may also be respecting your space or waiting for you to approach them on their terms. Cats are independent by nature, and this “ignoring” is usually their way of showing they are comfortable and relaxed around you.

Understanding this helps strengthen the bond you share with your cat.
