While filming the 2015 miniseries Texas Rising in Mexico, Brendan Fraser noticed one horse, named Pecas, being repeatedly bullied and kicked by the other horses on set. Moved by the gentle animal’s situation, Fraser decided to adopt him.
He arranged for Pecas to be flown from Mexico to his farm in New York. The horse became a beloved companion and even provided emotional support for Fraser’s son. Pecas lived a happy life on the farm until his passing.
