Rescue Puppy Realizes He Is Home for Good After Finally Finding a Family

For weeks, the little golden puppy waited inside the shelter, watching other dogs leave with their new families.

Each time someone approached his kennel, he stood up hopefully. But when they walked away, he quietly returned to his bed and waited again.

Then one family stopped and stayed.

They sat beside him, offered him a toy, and gave him all the time he needed to feel safe. Before long, the puppy placed his paws in their laps and refused to leave their side.

When they brought him home, he found a soft bed, a basket of toys, and a warm place beside the family on the couch.

At first, he seemed unsure whether the new home was temporary. But as the days passed, he began sleeping peacefully, carrying his toys from room to room, and greeting his family every morning with a wagging tail.

He was no longer waiting for someone to choose him.

He was home for good.
