This fun picture puzzle has been making the rounds on social media, and it is a fantastic test of your observation skills! At first glance, it just looks like a beautiful arrangement of tropical coconuts.
The image asks a very simple question: “How many coconuts do you see?”
What makes this counting challenge tricky is how the coconuts are grouped together in each square, mixing both brown and green varieties. Some of them are stacked or tucked right behind the front ones, making it incredibly easy for your eyes to simply skip right over them!
To get the right answer, you have to look closely and count each cluster very carefully. If we go row by row, the top row has 6 coconuts total (a pair of 2, then 1 green, then a stack of 3). The middle row has 8 coconuts (a crowded group of 4 green, then a mixed group of 3, then 1 single brown coconut). Finally, the bottom row has 9 coconuts (a stack of 3, then a pair of 2 green, then a large mixed pile of 4).
When you add all of those rows up, you find the total amount.
Answer: 23.
