How Many Plums Do You See? This Counting Puzzle Is Trickier Than It Looks

This plum counting puzzle might look easy at first, but the different-sized groups can make it surprisingly easy to skip one or count the same fruit twice.

The best way to solve it is to work through the picture one section at a time, moving from left to right across each row.

Top row: 3 + 2 + 4 = 9 plums.

Middle row: 1 + 3 + 2 = 6 plums.

Bottom row: 4 + 2 + 3 = 9 plums.

Now combine the three row totals:

9 + 6 + 9 = 24.

Taking your time and counting each individual plum is the easiest way to avoid being fooled by the larger clusters.

Answer: There are 24 plums in the picture.
