How Many Mangoes Do You See? This Counting Puzzle Is Trickier Than It Looks

This mango counting puzzle looks simple at first, but some of the fruit groups contain extra smaller mangoes that are easy to overlook.

The best way to solve it is to count each section carefully from left to right.

Top row: 2 + 1 + 1 + 2 = 6 mangoes.

Middle row: 1 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 5 mangoes.

Bottom row: 1 + 1 + 3 + 1 = 6 mangoes.

Now add the three rows together:

6 + 5 + 6 = 17.

The trick is paying attention to the smaller mangoes tucked beside the larger ones, especially in the first, fourth, and lower-middle groups.

Answer: There are 17 mangoes in the picture.

Did you count all 17 on your first try?
