How Many Mulberries Do You See? Can You Find All Of Them?

This mulberry counting puzzle looks simple at first, but the different cluster sizes make it surprisingly easy to lose track.

The best way to solve it is to count each group separately from left to right.

Top row: 4 + 1 + 3 = 8

Middle row: 2 + 4 + 2 = 8

Bottom row: 3 + 1 + 4 = 8

Now add the three row totals:

8 + 8 + 8 = 24

That means there are 24 mulberries in the picture.

The trick is that some berries overlap closely inside the larger clusters, so your eyes can easily combine two fruits into one when you scan too quickly. Counting one cluster at a time makes the puzzle much easier.

Answer: 24 mulberries.

Did you find all 24 on your first try, or did one of the larger clusters throw off your count?
