This bright red bouquet looks simple at first: three neat rows of large roses. A quick glance gives you nine flowers. But the image hides a few smaller blooms in the spaces between the big ones.
Look beyond the nine large roses
Begin by counting the obvious roses: three across the top, three in the middle, and three along the bottom. That’s nine large roses.
Now look closely at the greenery and the gaps between those flowers. Smaller rosebuds blend into the arrangement, and it’s easy to skip over them when your attention is drawn to the large, bright petals.
The hidden rose puzzle answer
There are 12 roses in the picture. Alongside the nine main roses, you can spot three smaller roses tucked between the larger blooms.
The trick with this kind of visual puzzle is to resist counting only the objects that are the same size. Small roses are still roses, even when their petals are partly obscured.
