Twelve vintage spoons are arranged in a neat grid. Eleven have the same floral decoration on the handle, but one carries a different pattern. Can you find the odd spoon without looking at the answer?
How to search the grid
Work systematically across each row. The metal finish and bowl shape are nearly identical, so focus on the engraved detail at the end of each handle. A small difference is easy to miss when your attention is drawn to the larger parts of the spoons.
Where is the different spoon?
The third spoon in the bottom row is the odd one out. Counting from left to right, that’s row three, column three, or spoon number eleven. Instead of the flower design shown on the other handles, this spoon has a star.
Why spot-the-difference puzzles work
When objects are repeated, the brain becomes used to the pattern. A deliberate row-by-row search helps you notice details you may otherwise skim past.
If you found the star quickly, you’ve got a sharp eye. Share the image with a friend and see how long it takes them.
