This classic riddle says: I have keys but no locks. I have a space but no room. You can enter, but you cannot go inside. What am I?
The answer is a keyboard.
A keyboard has many keys, but none of them open locks. It also has a space bar, but that “space” is not a room. And it has an Enter key, even though pressing it does not mean you physically go inside anything.
The riddle works by taking familiar keyboard terms literally. Words like keys, space, and enter normally describe physical things or actions, but on a keyboard they have completely different meanings.
Once you notice those three clues all belong to the same object, the answer becomes clear.
