Some kittens are impossible to miss, while others seem determined to hide right in front of your eyes. This picture-counting puzzle asks whether you can find twelve kittens among the fluffy faces.
Where are the hidden kittens?
Start with the nine large cats arranged in three rows. That gives you a reliable starting point. Then look carefully along the edges of the picture and in the spaces between the bigger kittens.
Small faces can be spotted near the greenery at the upper left, beside the cat at the upper right, between the paws of the white kitten in the middle, and around the lower row. A particularly careful count of all the visible small faces can go beyond the twelve mentioned in the question.
How to solve hidden-animal puzzles
Instead of looking at the whole image at once, divide it into sections. Search from left to right, moving from top to bottom. Check ears, faces and eyes peeking out behind the more prominent animals. Count a small kitten only when you can distinguish it as a separate animal rather than part of a larger one’s coat.
Whether you spot twelve immediately or notice additional tiny faces, the fun is in seeing what a quick glance misses. Ask someone else to count independently and compare the exact locations.
