The tiny creature was trembling, barely moving, small enough to fit in the palm of his hand. Its eyes were wide, its body fragile, and it looked like it had been left alone far too soon.

A puppy.

He carefully picked it up, wrapping it gently in his hands to keep it warm. It didn’t resist. It just stared back at him, quiet and still.
He rushed home, already thinking about how he’d take care of it—food, a blanket, maybe even a name.
But something felt… off.
The more he looked at it, the more he noticed small details that didn’t quite make sense.
The ears.
The eyes.
The way it moved.
This wasn’t like any puppy he had ever seen before.
Confused, he decided to take it to a local vet.

“Where did you find this?” they asked.
