Twelve silver-colored vintage thimbles are arranged in a three-row grid. At first glance, they look identical. But one has a different decorative edge. Can you find it?
Look closely at the bottom rims
Many spot-the-difference puzzles hide the change where your eye is least likely to linger. Here the perforated thimble tops are similar across all twelve, so study the band at the bottom of each one.
The answer: row two, column three
The different thimble is the third one in the middle row. Counting across the picture, it is number seven. Its bottom edge has a scalloped decorative pattern instead of the plain smooth band on the other eleven thimbles.
Why the detail is easy to miss
The repeated metallic pattern draws attention upward toward the tiny indentations. The altered base is smaller and lower in the picture, so the difference can disappear in a quick glance.
Try another visual search
If you found number seven without help, well done. Ask someone else to find the odd thimble and see whether they notice the scalloped rim as quickly as you did.
