In a cozy little bookshop filled with warm lights and floor-to-ceiling shelves, a majestic Maine Coon cat named Merlin has become the star of the store.

Every morning he sits right at the entrance, one paw lifted as if saying “welcome” to every visitor. Customers can’t help but smile and stop for a quick pet.

The owner laughs and says Merlin is her best employee — he even has his own chalkboard that reads “Today’s Cat Recommendation: The Alchemist.”
