With steady hands, he cut through the thick iron chains that had dug into the bear’s neck. As the final link snapped, the bear slowly rose to his full height. Instead of running or attacking, the giant animal took a step forward and gently lowered his head, resting it against the man’s chest in a powerful, silent moment of gratitude.
