The woman took them straight to a vet. The kitten was severely dehydrated and sick, but the mother had stayed with him the whole time, refusing to eat so she could protect him.
After treatment and care, both recovered fully. The woman adopted them and named them Hope and Lucky.
Today they live indoors, warm and loved, with the mother still cuddling her baby every night.
