The Dog Never Slept Again After the Baby Came Home

When the baby came home, everything changed.

New sounds.

New smells.

New routines.

But one thing stayed the same —

he refused to leave the baby’s side.

Every night, when the lights went out and the house grew quiet, he moved to the crib.

Not because anyone told him to.

Not because he was trained.

Because something in him understood.

He listened to every breath.

Every tiny movement.

Every soft whimper in the dark.

If the baby stirred, he lifted his head.

If the baby cried, he was already standing.

He didn’t need praise.

He didn’t need thanks.

Some protect because it’s their job.

Some protect because it’s their nature.

And sometimes…

the quietest guardian in the room has four legs.
