For the past few months, 6-year-old Ethan has looked forward to school every single day — and it’s all because of his favorite bus driver, Miss Bea.
Every morning when the bright yellow bus pulls up, Ethan runs to the door with a huge grin. Miss Bea leans down, gives him a big high-five, and says, “Good morning, superstar!”
She has a kind word or a smile for every child who steps on her bus. The kids love her so much that they fight over who gets to sit in the front seat.
One crisp autumn morning, Ethan climbed the steps like usual. But instead of just high-fiving and finding his seat, he stopped, looked up at Miss Bea, and handed her a small folded piece of paper.
On it was a colorful drawing of the two of them holding hands in front of the bus, with big hearts all around. Underneath he had written in wobbly letters:
“Thank you for making me happy every day. You are my favorite bus driver. Love, Ethan.”
Miss Bea’s eyes filled with happy tears. She hugged Ethan tight and told him it was the best gift she had ever received.
Now Ethan’s drawing is taped right above the driver’s seat, and Miss Bea shows it to every child who asks why she’s smiling so big.
This simple, sweet moment reminds us how much a little kindness from a caring adult can mean to a child — and how much joy our everyday heroes bring into little lives. ❤️
