Every afternoon at the same time, the family’s Siamese cat named Luna jumps onto the sunny windowsill and sits in front of the tablet like clockwork.
When Grandma’s face appears on the video call, Luna stares intently at the screen, occasionally tilting her head or meowing softly as if she’s having her own conversation.
Grandma always lights up and says, “There’s my grandkitty!”
Yesterday, something extra special happened.
As Grandma waved and said hello, Luna reached out with one paw and gently touched the screen right where Grandma’s hand was waving. She then leaned in and gave the screen a little kiss with her nose.
The whole family burst out laughing while Grandma’s eyes filled with happy tears. She said, “Even my grandkitty misses me!”
Now the family makes sure Luna always has her spot during the calls. She has become the highlight of Grandma’s day and a beloved part of their long-distance family time.
This adorable moment shows how pets can help bridge the distance and bring love across the miles. ❤️
