In 2014, in Bakersfield, California, 4-year-old Jeremy was playing in his driveway when a neighbor’s dog suddenly attacked him. As the dog dragged the boy, his family cat, Tara, sprang into action.
Security cameras captured the incredible moment when Tara charged at the much larger dog, body-slammed it, and chased it away. Thanks to her bravery, Jeremy only needed stitches and recovered quickly. Tara’s heroic act was caught on video and quickly went viral around the world.
She proved that even a small cat can have the heart of a lion when protecting her family.
