Mailman Noticed One Porch Light Never Turned Off—Then He Knocked

For three evenings, the mailman noticed the same porch light glowing long after sunrise. The elderly homeowner usually greeted him, but her mail had begun piling up untouched.

Concerned, he knocked repeatedly and heard a faint call from inside. He contacted emergency services, who found that she had fallen and could not reach her phone.

She received help just in time. What looked like a forgotten porch light became the small warning that encouraged one observant mailman to stop and check.
