This August 8th, challenge yourself with an adorable picture puzzle that has been making the rounds on social media! It is a fantastic test of your observation skills, and at first glance, it just looks like a beautiful group of spotted Bengal cats.
The image asks a very simple question: “How many Bengal cats can you find?”
What makes this counting challenge so tricky is how some of the little kittens are perfectly camouflaged among the beautiful rosettes and spots of the older cats. There are several large cats sitting front and center, but a few sneaky kittens are tucked away. It is incredibly easy for your eyes to focus only on the big, prominent faces and completely skip over the hidden ones!
To get the right answer, you have to look closely and check every space carefully. Let’s count them up! There are 5 large Bengal cats taking up most of the space (3 sitting in the top row, and 2 resting in the bottom row).
Now for the hidden ones: there is 1 little kitten peeking out from behind the top-left cat, 1 kitten face tucked behind the top-right cat, 1 tiny face resting between the front paws of the bottom-left cat, and 1 more sleeping soundly inside the curl of the bottom-right cat.
When you add the 5 large cats and the 4 hidden kittens together, you find the entire beautiful family.
Answer: 9.
