How Many Lychees Do You See? This Counting Puzzle Is Easy to Miscount

This lychee counting puzzle looks straightforward, but the peeled fruit and different cluster sizes make it surprisingly easy to lose track.

The easiest way to solve it is to count each group separately from left to right.

Top row: 3 + 3 + 4 = 10 lychees.

Middle row: 2 + 3 + 3 = 8 lychees.

Bottom row: 4 + 2 + 2 = 8 lychees.

Now add the three row totals together:

10 + 8 + 8 = 26

The peeled lychees still count as individual fruits. Their white flesh looks very different from the red outer skin, which can make them easy to overlook while counting quickly.

So the correct answer is:

26 lychees.

The best way to avoid mistakes on puzzles like this is to count one cluster at a time instead of trying to scan the entire picture at once.

Answer: 26.

Did you find all 26 on your first try?
