What Has No Beginning, No End, and No Middle? Can You Solve This Riddle?

This clever riddle asks:

“What has no beginning, no end, and no middle?”

At first, you might think of something endless, such as time, space, or even a circle. A circle certainly has no obvious beginning or end, but there is one problem: a circle still has a center.

The clue “no middle” is what points toward the real answer.

Think of something round that goes continuously around, but instead of having a solid center, it has an empty hole.

The answer is:

A doughnut.

A doughnut has no obvious starting point or ending point because of its circular shape. And unlike an ordinary solid circle, the middle is missing completely because that is where the hole is.

That combination makes it fit all three clues surprisingly well.

Answer: A doughnut.

This is one of those riddles that seems almost impossible until you focus on the word “middle.”

Did you guess it before checking the answer?
