This riddle asks: What is so light that you can easily lift it, but almost impossible to throw far?
The answer is: a feather.
A feather weighs very little, so picking one up requires almost no effort. But that same light weight makes it difficult to throw any significant distance.
When you try to throw a feather, air resistance quickly slows it down. Instead of traveling in a straight line like a stone or ball, it tends to flutter, drift, or fall nearby.
The riddle plays with the idea that being easy to lift should also make something easy to throw. In reality, very low weight can make an object harder to throw far because the air has such a strong effect on it.
