These adorable baby otters make a picture-perfect counting challenge. The photo-style illustration shows several otters sitting, floating, and playing, but not every animal is equally easy to see.
How many baby otters are in the picture?
The intended answer is 12 baby otters. Begin by counting the obvious large otters, then go back for the smaller faces peeking out between them.
Where are the hidden otters?
Look closely behind the otter near the upper-right edge, where a tiny face peers from the side. Another little otter appears in the middle of the group, between the larger heads. Look near the lower-left part of the picture for another small otter, partly concealed by a tail.
The key to solving any hidden-animal picture puzzle is to count by rows rather than jumping between the cutest faces. First scan the upper group, then the middle, and finally the lower otters. Keep track of each animal only once, even if you can see only its face.
