This August 8th, challenge yourself with an adorable picture puzzle that has been making the rounds on social media! It is a fantastic test of observation skills, and at first glance, it just looks like a sweet group of cartoon Chihuahuas.
The image asks a very simple question: “How many Chihuahuas are hiding here?”
What makes this counting challenge so tricky is how some of the tiny pups are perfectly positioned behind the larger dogs. There are six large Chihuahuas sitting front and center, but a few sneaky puppies are tucked away. It is incredibly easy for older eyes to focus only on the big, prominent faces and completely skip over the hidden ones!
To get the right answer, you have to look closely and check every space carefully. Let’s count them up! There are 6 large Chihuahuas taking up most of the space (3 sitting in the top row, and 3 resting in the bottom row).
Now for the hidden ones: in the top row, there is 1 tiny pup sitting next to the dog on the left, and 1 peeking out from behind the dog on the right. In the bottom row, there is 1 puppy tucked behind the dog on the far left, 1 nestled closely beside the center dog, and 1 more peeking out from behind the dog on the far right.
When you add the 6 large dogs and the 5 hidden puppies together, you find the entire adorable family.
Answer: 11.
