For the past few months, 7-year-old Leo has had the best bus stop buddy anyone could ask for — his calico cat named Luna.

Every school morning, Luna follows Leo to the corner and jumps up on the green bench to wait with him. She sits quietly, tail curled around her paws, watching the road until the big yellow bus appears.

Leo always gives her a gentle pet and tells her about his day ahead. The neighbors love seeing this sweet duo together.

One sunny morning, when the bus pulled up and the doors opened, Luna did something unexpected.

As Leo stood up to board, Luna suddenly leaped off the bench, ran a few steps toward the bus, and playfully swatted at his shoelace while looking up at him with bright eyes — as if saying “Don’t forget me today!”

Leo burst out laughing, turned around, and gave Luna one last big hug and kiss on the head before climbing the steps.

The bus driver smiled and waited patiently while the boy said goodbye to his furry friend.
