How Many Baby Owls Are Really Here? Hidden Owl Counting Puzzle

At first glance, this adorable baby-owl picture appears to show nine fluffy owls in three rows. But several much smaller owl faces are partly hidden behind wings and feathers.

How many owls are really here?

The intended answer is 13 owls. Nine prominent owls form the main grid, with four smaller owls peeking from behind them.

Where are the hidden owls?

Look behind the left side of the upper-left owl; a small face peeks out. Another hides in the gap between the upper-middle and upper-right owls. Check between the middle-left and middle-center owls for a third tiny face. Finally, examine the lower-right corner beneath the larger owl’s wing for the last owl.

These picture puzzles are tricky because our eyes focus on large complete shapes. To solve this one, look for every distinct pair of eyes and beak, even if the little owl’s body is hidden.
