Every evening, as soon as the sun starts to set, the family’s British Shorthair cat named Winston takes his post by the front door.

When he hears the car pull up, he stands on his back legs, reaches up with one paw, and flips the switch to turn on the porch light — welcoming his family home like a little furry doorman.

Mom, Dad, and their young daughter always laugh and cheer when they see him doing it. It has become their favorite part of coming home.
