Every evening around sunset, neighbors began noticing the same quiet scene. A small brown dog would walk to the front door, sit for a moment, then turn back as if checking whether someone was coming. The leash still clipped to his collar suggested he had once belonged to someone who expected him home.
At first, people assumed he was just waiting for his owner to return from work. But days passed. Then weeks. Still, every evening at nearly the same time, the dog returned to that same doorstep.
