How Many Baby Piglets Can You Find? Hidden Piglet Counting Puzzle

Here’s a cute farmyard challenge: How many baby piglets can you see in this picture? At first glance, nine are easy to spot. But the secret is to look behind the obvious animals and search for smaller faces.

Where are the hidden piglets?

Work your way across the picture from left to right. Count each visible nose and pair of ears only once. Pay particular attention to the gaps between the larger piglets, where a small head can hide behind a shoulder or leg.

Rather than guessing from the number of bodies, use distinct faces to guide your count. Some little piglets may be only partly visible, which is why this picture can be more difficult than it first appears.

Try the counting challenge

Start with the nine prominent piglets, then count the tiny piglets separately. The intended challenge includes additional hidden piglets beyond those nine. Compare your final answer with a friend and see who finds the most on the first try.

Visual counting puzzles are fun because they reward attention rather than speed. Take another careful look before you settle on your number.
